Marilyn J. DeVoe was named Vice President – Miami in April 2010. In her new position, she is responsible for all airport operations at the airline’s largest international hub and its gateway to Latin America and the Caribbean. Previously, she served as Vice President for American’s Dallas/Fort Worth hub. DeVoe has also worked as Vice President – Customer Services Planning and was responsible for the business planning, automation, service policies, and support for all of the airline’s airport operations. She joined American in the Finance department in New York where she also served in management positions in Cargo, Flight Service and Human Resources before heading to Miami as the Director of Customer Service for the hub. Her next stop was Regional Managing Director for the Caribbean where she was not only responsible for airport operations, but also sales, reservations and community and government affairs for all of the region. DeVoe has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island, where she currently is a member of the Business Advisory Council. In 2008, she was named one of the 25 Most Influential Women in Business by the Dallas Business Journal.
